    Podere Ada

Podere Ada lies on the hill below the medieval village of Montichiello, surrounded by an ancient olive grove. The old centre of Montichiello is one of the most beautiful hamlets in the stunning Val d’Orcia. The hills and valleys are criss-crossed by ancient dirt roads, the ‘strade bianche’, along which traditional cypress trees stand like sentinels, defining the characteristic landscape of Tuscany. This unique area, which is a UNESCO World Heritage Site, is famous for its wine and olive oil production, and it is in the latter that Podere Ada also plays a significant role.

Tuscan olive oil is a product prized worldwide for its refined aroma and mild flavour. The quality of this olive oil, with its very low acidity, is determined by the location of the olive grove, the soil type, the varieties, the climate and, last but not least, the experience and craftsmanship of the producer.
